xAntique Classical Revival Acid Cutback Pendant

Classically beautiful design in the style of Steuben, effected by using acid to cut back a layer of glass, revealing the design which was protected by wax. What remains is a milk glass shade under a creamy glass layer that has a soft pearl like luster. The shade hangs beautifully from a Lightolier fixture from the same era, c. 1910. The fixture is all brass, original patina, rewired with vintage style silk covered wire. No dents, cracks or repairs, some roughness on the fitter end of the shade which could result from cutting off from the mold.
