Moe Bridges 5-light Slip Shade Chandelier for low ceilings

We seldom find vintage light fixtures in as fine a condition as this.  During the first part of the last century, Moe-Bridges had up to 21 stories of manufacturing space in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, producing high-quality light fixtures. The ones that lasted were usually made of cast iron. These are cast iron and we like that but, even better, we like the fact that they are brass plated. The plating has a medium  patina and is in fine condition.

There are some subtle touches of color to accent the design which is unique to Moe-bridges, a stylized design of a bouquet of flowers, not too elaborate which helps it to fit in with old oak houses or modern.
The shades are perfect, the kind that are colored glass, not painted.  They are amber (as is the color accenting the design of the fixture), a good choice to blend into an old house which has managed to retain its original woodwork.  We merely cleaned the fixture, rewired and waxed it, added a heavy duty cross bar and it is ready for another century of service.

We rewired with period style silk wire. We have appropriate chain available if you need a longer fixture, no charge.
