xAntique Art Nouveau 5-light Brass Chandelier

Classically styled, this all brass chandelier is perfection.    After a century, the brass is still smooth and unmarked, no dents or splits.  The canopy has a delightful tortoise shell patina.  All brass, perfect condition, meticulous art nouveau design, not overdone.

This is a bare-bulb fixture from the early years of electric lighting.  People were proud to show off  the small round bulbs which were probably used for this fixture.  You can still get these bulbs in clear glass as an LED.  We spray them with  an artificial etching spray so that you can still see the  the electric filament  at the center of the bulbs.  It’s a nice antique look without the glare.   Gone to Illinois.
