xAntique Carnival Style Glass Pendant

$425.00

In the early part of the last century, carnival glass was very popular but too heavy to serve for a large globe. This type of shade has a similar effect using ordinary glass. . The shades were first given a coating of a semi-transparent fluorescent paint as a canvas for a hand painted scene, usually a scene from nature as here, a forest in Winter. Scene is repeated 3 times around the shade.

The shade hangs from a lovely leaf style brass fixture, its dark lacquer coating a perfect foil for its brightness. Fixture will be rewired to length you need. Right now, it is 21″ long, the shade 8″ wide.  No problems. Gone to Ohio.
