Antique Copper Arts & Crafts Lantern

We love the simplicity of this wonderful copper lantern, hand crafted at least 100 years ago.  It is a “caged” light fixture which supposedly protects the “hammered” amber glass cylinder. The cage apparently has worked as it is still in great condition.  Time has turned the copper to a nice, fairly even black color. You can also see some verdigris on the canopy where the black patina has flaked off.

We have rewired with a new socket. All metal parts are made of copper.
