Classically beautiful fixture for the traditional home, c 1920’s. The brass fixture is by Gill Glass with a well developed patina, very dark and difficult to photograph. The shade is a beautiful white satin glass. The chemicals used to make satin glass leave a dull finish which has a luxurious, smooth feel and is preferred over sand blasting.
The fixture has a new socket and measures 8″ wide x 12″ high, a nice size for an 8-foot ceiling. No chips or cracks or dents, etc. Gone to Galveston.
