xBeardslee Williamson Art Deco Slip Shade Chandelier, 1930

$1,450.00

Here is a well known 4-light slip shade chandelier made by R. Williamson & Co., later bought out by Beardslee Chandelier Mfg. Co. of Chicago.

The light fixture is part aluminum, part iron, with its original finish intact, basically, aged brass, accented with pink and garden green. Both the canopy and the cover that hides the wiring are chip-free and in exceptionally good condition.

The slip shades are a creamy light orange sherbet color with darker orange highlights. With light fixtures as with other antiques, original condition is important to their value. The shades have no chips, cracks or paint loss. There has been no restoration of the finish because it wasn’t necessary. It has been cleaned and rewired.

The light is 17″ in diameter and hangs 27″ to the bottom of the finial (needing a 9-foot ceiling in a living room or 8-foot ceiling in a dining room). Ready for installation with the possibility of adding an extra chain, if desired.  Gone to Wisconsin.
