Bronze Linenfold Double Candle Sconces by S & A

The design of this sconce is called “linenfold”.  If you examine the sconce closely, you will find various expression of this in the back plate and candle holders.  There is also a suggestion of a family crest, an opportunity to add a little color.  The result is both relatively simple and elegant, allowing the bronze to be appreciated for itself.  If you want the best, this might be it.

These fixtures are in excellent condition, still retaining their candle rings and working wall switches, good for another hundred years.
