Simple thirties copper lantern with prismatic shade desirable on board ship and generally for old porch lights. Copper is probably the best metal for outdoor fixtures as it does not corrode, just develops a black coating which protects the metal. That will happen with this light fixture unless you lacquer it.
The guard wires are brass with a patina. Rewired with attachment hardware. No problems.
Fixture is in good enough condition to be used inside. Compare it to new and you will find it is well priced. Gone to California.
