This type of fixture is found occasionally, painted with different flower designs and with more or less success. We like this one which appears to have been painted professionally by a sure hand.
Absolutely gorgeous hand painted delicate pink irises grow out of the open bottom of the shade, like a water painting on glass instead of paper. This would be wonderful for a garden room, porch, sun room, colors compatible with most decorating schemes.
The flawless milk glass fixture is of art deco design, carries the stripes typical of the thirties.
Shade is sizeable, 9″ wide x 7″ high, with fixture, 22″ high. We can lengthen or shorten. Fixture is bronze painted brass and is of the same era. We like the little pagoda effect of the shade holder on this fixture. Quite wonderful, in great condition, and rare. Rewired with attachment hardware. Gone to Chicago.
