xLarge Art Deco Milk Glass Pendant Pair

If you can use them, we have a hard-to-find pair of pure white milk glass pendants with a straight forward art deco design. They are especially useful for lighting counter tops, great rooms, hall ways. They have their original heavy duty ceramic sockets and can provide a lot of light if you require it. One of the fixtures retains its original pull chain toggle switch, the kind that simply clicks on or off. It works well so there is no reason to remove it.

This is a familiar design for anyone familiar with antique light fixtures. Detaching such a large shade to change a light bulb was a daunting prospect even for our hardy ancestors. Their solution was a thick, faceted, clear glass detachable bottom shade for accessing the socket. With the modern long lasting LED light bulbs, that chore has been further minimized.

The shades are flawless and hang from sturdy steel pendants in excellent condition, brass plated both outside and inside, rather unusual. They have an added benefit of needing only one large set screw tightened to hold the shade. The brass plating has its original patina and is indistinguishable from solid brass. Even the chain is in beautiful condition.

The first picture shows the pair set up for an over-the-counter installation from a 9-foot ceiling hanging 36 inches. The last picture shows a pendant at 41 inches, long enough for a 10-foot ceiling, not over the counter, their original situation. We will set these up the way you need them, rewired, of course, ready to install.
