xLarge Art Nouveau Cinnamon on Cream Pendant

$425.00

Here we have an unusually decorative light fixture, c 1915, large painted shade, 10″ wide, with its original brass fixture. The shade is early milk glass painted in a light matte beige, finished by treating it to an application of soft burnt sienna to point up the molded raised design of cabbage roses surrounded by plenty of swirling greenery. We never say “stunningly beautiful” because that is up to the viewer, but we like it very much.

Amazingly, the brass fixture still holds its orangey gold  paint in excellent condition.  Also, while the shade has paint loss only where the holder is attached, so not visible when hung.

Of course, the shade changes color when lit, depending on the wattage used. You can use a 75-watt incandescent or cooler LED. Shade is 10″ wide x 9″ high, total fixture has a 32″ drop as shown. Rewired with antique style cloth wiring.

Priced to sell, will not be reduced. Gone to Pennsylvania
