xLarge Custard Glass Pendants Pair

$1,400.00

We have this pair of large (14″ by 9″) custard glass shades hanging from painted steel fixtures,, completely untouched by time (at least a century). This kind of shade was either milk glass or custard glass, the latter more desirable and more expensive to make.
The steel fixtures are sturdy enough to handle the weight. They are painted bronze, looks original even though there are no chips to the paint. They have a cast iron leaf style ring, painted to look like old brass, which adds just the right little flourish to these stately fixtures. To us, the best feature of these two fixtures is the clamp style shade holder, no need to tighten any screws while you are holding a large shade in place, just flip a clamp which works extremely well.
The first picture shows a pair of shades set up for a 9-foot ceiling, 28″. The second picture shows a fixture as it is now, long enough for a 10-foot ceiling, 41″.
Fixtures come rewired. Because a pair of these fixtures is so difficult to find in this condition, we won’t be separating them. The price is firm.
