Mid-west Art Deco Six Shade Top-of-the-Line Chandelier

Mid-West Lighting was founded in 1906. They survived the Depression perhaps because they set such high standards for their work. Here is another imaginative design by Mid-west from their Devon series. This art deco aluminum fixture retains its original factory finish in excellent condition – bronze, brushed to reveal a pewter layer beneath. We haven’t touched it because it is perfect as is, as are the shades.
The fly away shades with their puffy cloud like design are tethered to the fixture by beaded bands. This is a six-light chandelier, much more difficult to find and our first. The bottom light has a working switch which turns on either all 6 lights or the bottom light only. This makes it especially suitable for the dining room.
Right now it is set up for a dining room table in an 8-foot room or for general traffic in a 9-foot room. Chain can be added but not removed.
