Mid-west Scottish Themed Sconces Pair

$700.00

A lot of thought went into the design of these well made and handsome bronze light fixtures. You will see a stylized version of the thistle flower with its prickly leaves and on each candle holder, a version of the Scottish shield.. You can also see the typical hammered touches used in Tudor and Arts & Craft design. There is such attention to detail that even the back plate, which is seldom seen, has a hammered finish.
These were not made in England but in Kansas City, Missouri, by the Mid-west Chandelier Co., c. 1920’s.  You do not have to be a Scot to purchase them. They’re bronze so they still look great, this version of them having an overlay of smooth, polished brass on the raised portions of the design.  Professionally rewired.
