Moe Bridges Arts & Crafts Lantern

We found one of these “dwarf cottage” style light fixtures, in miserable condition but worth restoring because of its rarity and quaint design. It is a great example of arts & crafts styling by Moe Bridges.  It was galvanized so no rust.  We stripped and repainted with best quality paint used for restoring automobiles, then given a clear low gloss coat of rust protective exterior lacquer. It is in great shape now, rewired, the amber glass still perfect with crackle design. You can use this fixture inside or out.

Despite our efforts, however, we do suggest it being used in warmer climates on a covered porch.  No finish withstands Northern winters forever, this fixture is steel, not copper.
