Spanish Revival Wall Sconces – Set 6
$1,800.00
These sconces are typical of the whimsical and colorful designs of the Spanish Revival period in 1920’s Europe. They are smaller than most sconces, 8″ x 8″ but, of course, can give just as much light as a larger sconce. They are not so highly styled that they won’t fit comfortably into a home setting. Their former owners had them scattered around the room where they entertained.
The fixtures are partially painted cast brass with applied patina. Although they are cast, the back plates are only 1/8″ thick, giving the appearance of antique hand wrought copper. They still retain their small nosegays, 3 field flowers, and we are happy to say they come with their original heavy drip candle covers still in good condition. The candles emerge from a unique and lovely bobeche of stylized brass leaves. The original pull chains remain, still functioning. To sum up, condition is very good to excellent, their design and quality a delight.
Because of their size and rarity, they need to hang together so we are selling as a set only. SBX52
