Mid-Century Colonial Revival Brass Wall Sconces – 2 Pairs
$600.00
Colonial Revival lighting features more modest forms, symmetrical, the opposite of Art Nouveau. Without excess ornamentation, lines are simple but graceful. Brass is shining.
We can picture these sconces in an elegant Hollywood “glam” setting but also in a traditional 1940’s middle class home. Coming out of the art deco period of the 1930’s, the early 1940’s brought the return of simple, clean lines in design of furniture and light fixtures. Perfection of detail is important to this type of design and these sconces fulfill that promise.
The sconces are deep, allowing for shades to provide a soft, gracious light, so we include shades, made with a creamy white jacquard fabric to add texture to these sleek light fixtures.
