Carnival Style Glass Flush Mount

This type of shade has the same affect as the popular carnival glass which would have been too heavy to serve for such a large piece of glass. The shades were first given a coating of a semi-transparent fluorescent paint as a canvas for a hand painted scene, usually nature as here, a forest in Winter. Scene is repeated 3 times around the shade.  Great condition.  

The shade hangs from a lovely  golden brass fixture in excellent vintage  condition, together a beautiful jewel and accent for the home.
